Panini Unwrapped Big League videos

Last June (I think) I started talking to THE Tracy Hackler on Twitter and he asked if I’d be willing to film people opening up Panini product at my LCS (Big League) . I agreed and have been making a video compilation every month (just finished the October edition, it’s not up yet though). This is something I probably would have blogged about much earlier than now, but I’ve been busy with school.

So here they are, first up is June:

Special Gold Standard edition:

July edition:

August:

And September:

In addition to the above, I’ve done some video/audio editing and motion graphics for Tracy on a number of his recent videos, I’ll put together a reel of that at some point.

Big Hits page

I added a page where you can view all the “BIG HITS” themed videos I’ve done. I’m trying to better organize things so hopefully I’ll be adding more pages soon.

Access the page by click the tab at the top or clicking here:

2011 Bowman Big Hits video and gallery

BOWMAN IN SPACE!

This video was originally going to be about BrentandBecca ‘s 25 Jumbo case break, but due to some potential controversy about which I know little, it was reformatted into a general “big hits” type of video.
Below are all the card images I gathered in preparation for both videos, the reason that there are far more images below then were in the video is because I thought I might do something where I brought out a bunch at one time (IN SPACE).  That proved to be to much of a hassle because I don’t have the Particular 2 plugin anymore in AE.

The 1/1 Harper base red was something I thought about putting in the video but eventually decided not to due to the same reasons as above, (removing the watermarks)

Almost all of these had to be cropped in Photoshop. (on eBay I hit “print screen”, pasted the image into Photoshop, and cropped from there)

Big hits from Gypsy Queen (video)

FUN FACTS:

I used a distorted version of the Tarot card back on both sides of the cards shown throughout.

The blending mode eliminated all the white from the image, after that I lowered the opacity, probably a bit too much now that I look at the video.

1:07 is “Strasburg” back masked. (reversed)

Five Star

Here’s a “Jake Break” video wherein “Jake” opens up 3 boxes of Five Star on one day, and another a couple days later.  It contains some Sheen soundbites for fun.

I also edited the below “Rip Party” video for Five Star.  For those wondering, Whit’s box (last ripper shown) contained: Tebow Auto /100, Hardesty Auto/Patch, Mendenhall Auto/Patch, Clausen Auto/Letter Patch 1/1, and the Bradford Auto/Patch booklet.  It was a “winner” box.

2010 Bowman Sterling Rip Party vid

We shot this on Friday, I’ve been editing it since, finally done.

There are many “things” in this video that 99% of those who watch will never consciously recognize.  Just thought I’d throw that out there.

here be scans: (didn’t use all in the video)

My FSO blog

wherein I muse upon such high brow topics as subliminal advertisements and back-masking.

also look for trippy visuals:
